1. Introduction

iEnterprise Buddy respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it. We believe in collecting only what is strictly necessary to provide and improve our software.

2. Information We Collect

We collect a minimal set of data required to operate the software and manage subscriptions:

  • License key and machine identifier — A hashed hardware UUID is used for subscription validation and seat management. This ensures your license is active and within the allowed device limit.
  • Machine hostname — Displayed in the Settings view so you can identify which of your devices are using a seat.
  • Crash reports — Stack traces, OS version, and app version are sent via Sentry only if you opt in. No personal data is included in crash reports.
  • Anonymous usage analytics — We track which modules are opened and which features are used via TelemetryDeck, but only if you opt in. No file contents, file paths, or personal data are included.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

iEnterprise Buddy is designed to operate locally on your Mac. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to:

  • File contents or personal files
  • SSH keys, passwords, or proxy credentials
  • Git repositories or source code
  • Browsing history
  • IP addresses
  • Clipboard data

All credentials you configure within the app are stored locally in your macOS Keychain and are never transmitted to our servers or any third party.

4. Data Storage

Your data stays on your machine:

  • License validation data is stored in your macOS Keychain.
  • App preferences are stored in local UserDefaults.
  • Configuration backups are saved to ~/.ieb_backups/ on your local disk.
  • There is no cloud storage, no remote database, and no server-side user profiles.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

  • Lemon Squeezy — Handles subscription billing and payment processing. We do not store or have access to your payment details.
  • Sentry — Receives crash reports if you opt in. Used solely to identify and fix application bugs.
  • TelemetryDeck — Receives anonymous, aggregated usage analytics if you opt in. Designed to be privacy-first with no user tracking.

6. Data Retention

  • License data is retained while your subscription is active and removed upon cancellation.
  • Crash reports are automatically deleted after 90 days.
  • Usage analytics are aggregated and anonymized. No individual user data is retained long-term.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectify any inaccurate personal data.
  • Delete your personal data.
  • Port your data to another service.

8. Children's Privacy

iEnterprise Buddy is a professional developer tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
